Job 31:16-23
“If I have denied the desires of the poor
or let the eyes of the widow grow weary,
if I have kept my bread to myself,
not sharing it with the fatherless—
but from my youth I reared them as a father would,
and from my birth I guided the widow—
if I have seen anyone perishing for lack of clothing,
or the needy without garments,
and their hearts did not bless me
for warming them with the fleece from my sheep,
if I have raised my hand against the fatherless,
knowing that I had influence in court,
THEN LET MY ARM FALL FROM THE SHOULDER,
LET IT BE BROKEN OFF AT THE JOINT.
For I dreaded destruction from God,
and for fear of his splendor I could not do such things.”
If it is the duty of parents to “train up a child in the way he should go”, teach them God’s Word and be the role model for the child, how about those who do not have parents?
I guess the answer is that simple as seen in Job. Answers and solutions are always simple to say, but HOW is it to be done in the way that is pleasing to God when man is so weak and unfaithful?
Really need God’s wisdom and grace for the strength to do His Work!!!!!

Which brings me to another topic.
The movie talks about how youth ministry is unbiblical and we have to get back to what God has commanded us to do in His Word – equip fathers to teach their children and strengthen families so that the church is united and not divided.
I read about this issue in a magazine before, and I was troubled about it. But I kind of forgotten about it probably due to the complexity of the matter if I really truely believed in it and carried it out. Hahaha.. well.. anyway it was resurfaced again after watching the video. I know people who probably believe that this is the best way to go about things, but maybe they think it is like an etopia kind of situation. And since we don’t live in etopia, we just gotta try to make things work with what we’ve got. But does it really help matters? The weakling side of me is saying, just forget it dude, you can’t make a difference anyway. But there’s a tingling tingling part of me that tells me that I cannot let the matter rest.
Paul Washer from Heartcry Missionary Society said something in the movie that really made me shiver:
“A man stood up in the congregation, he said, ‘Mr Washer, if I do these things that I know are right, my church will kill me.’ And I looked at him and I said, ‘Then die.’”
Shiver!
And yes, yet again, no action plan arose from this.

Today i prayed, meditated on Acts 1:4-8 and sang praises to God – all the time while I took the lift!
Hahahaha
Nah, i wasnt having speed quiet time nor taking a lift to the 109th floor.. But I was trapped in the lift early in the morning in my school!
Very random and hilarious! Coz I seldom take the lift!!!!!!!! Everyone was shocked it was me stuck inside coz I usually take the stairs.. Wahaha
But thank God for the good time with Him…!
While being confined in the little space I just pondered on how Paul and Silas could sing praises to God while chained in jail. It really took a joyful heart for that to happen! I mean, I was happily confined coz I had light and ventilation still.. So it was still easy to praise God.. In fact I could be more focused coz I was jolted awake by the lift breaking down.. Haha but Paul and Silas really suffered in there and they had so much grace and empowerment from God to live their lives for Him.
Lord I pray for empowerment and grace to live my life exactly how You want it! May Your glory be shown!

On another note, I watched the above video clip through Yeng Hong’s recommendation and I was really very moved by some of the passerbys who stood up for the person with special needs! I hope that when the time comes for me to stand up for them, I will really react quickly and do something impactful instead of stammer and go into a trance!!
Last night I dreamed that I gave birth to a kid.
It was a boy, I think. It looked (and felt like) a stress ball in the shape of a child (and it was really small).
A few hours later it started talking! The kid was a genius. It said,”Yay! Milk! Champion!” when I took a milk bottle and wanted to feed it.
I did wierd things like putting him in a basket and wrapping him up with some cloth with a netting at his face so he can breathe. HAHA
HAHAHA SO RANDOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
