ANYWAY, when I was raving about all the awwwww and heartbreak sweet stuff in the show to Janice, I also told her that it’s against the law to portray guys to be so perfect and sweet, or to be like what she said,”stuff dreams are made of”. Coz girls will go all melty and dreamy and thrown into a vulnerable state, but most disastrously, may think that guys like that really do exist, and they pin unrealistic expectations on poor guys. Coz these things just don’t exist! It’s a fantasy show, come on.

But today while I was on the bus, I realized that HEY! What am I thinking? I have the most perfect and loving person in my life already!

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8 NIV)

Someone loves me enough to set aside His glories and riches to live a life on the earth where I live. And out of His love for me He sacrificed Himself not only physically but spiritually and placed His reputation at stake as well. He died and suffered for me. Of coz He rose again and lives, and He continues to look out for me, guide me and teach me daily…

That is so much more awesome than any pretty-faced boy! Hahahaha

What else can I do in response but commit my heart and soul to this perfect guy!!

Child: If you scold me, I will run away from home!
Me: Then where are you going to stay? Dustbin ah?
Child: I stay with Bruno Mars.
Mother: Bruno Mars in America you know? You can stay with him ah?
Child: I going to marry Bruno Mars.
Mother: Really? You sure? Teacher Cherlyn is Bruno Mars’ girlfriend you know?

And I was thinking.. WOW it really has been some time since a memorable fuzzy brained moment occurred!

But because I wondered that, that very same day, the moment arrived!!

Awhile after I wondered, I went to Tampines stadium to jog after the millionth year (yay inertia lost eventually!)

I purposely asked an Aunty to give me 2 twenty cent coins when she returned me change for a hair band so that I cld use it for the locker at the stadium.

But when I was at the locker, I saw that the slot for the 20 cent coin said “20 cents” and I was like.. Oh! I thought it was 40 cents all along!

Happily I placed one 20 cent coin in the locker and put all my stuff inside.

But when I closed it and wanted to remove the key, it didn’t budge..

Alemak.. Spoil!

So I removed all my stuff and put it in another locker and put my last 20 cent coin inside.

But again it wouldn’t budge!! Sigh. How sway.. Both lockers spoilt!!

Then I realized..

On the locker itself was written so hugely 2 X 20 cents.

How lame can I get?!

Then I was like oh man now what.

To cut the story, nice Filipino man appeared, I asked if he could spilt his 2 twenty cents into the 2 specific lockers I had sillyly put one 20 cent coin in each and he said ok!

Hahaha and I have another “I wondered, therefore it happened” moment!!!

One day I wondered to myself what it would feel like to be old or pregnant or injured and someone gave up his/her seat for you. It was just an extremely random wonderment.

And moments later, as in seriously moments later (I was standing in the mrt when I wondered that), a guy gave up his seat for me!!!!!!

I was like…”FOR ME?” and he nodded his head.

I didn’t realize I was carrying alot of things that day which apparently warranted me a seat on the mrt. Hahaha it was quite alot of things la but I didn’t think that it deserved to really get a seat. But how could I reject right!

And the feeling was shiok! Hahaha

Did you ever have a “I wondered, therefore it happened” moment? The happening MUST happen within the same day of the wonderment!!! Then it has more oomph! Hahahaha!

“WHAT! Why? Don’t tell me you are also going? Don’t go! You cannot go!”

Although I really really don’t want anyone to be affected by my absence, I guess it still does feel nice to know that you will be missed.. even if it was just for awhile. Hee..

Ahhhhh! Scaryyyyyyyyyyy!

But don’t know why people kept talking abt it today! Boo!

Even my boss kept talking abt it everytime she saw me. Hahaha!

“Eh Eh! What’s that? Pimple? Why? Thinking of boyfriend until got pimple?”

“Eh, get rid of the pus it’s gathering there!”

“Ask the person with the thing at her mouth la!”

I still believe that the black pepper crab I ate yesterday resulted in Pamela being born because she appeared really right after I washed my mouth after eating the crabs. My boss thinks that is rubbish though.

Anyway because of all the attention that Pamela is getting i thought I should remember her since she may disappear and I’ll never see her again (hopefully).

So here is Pamela! (beware of impending TMI!)

*playing psp frantically*

“Eh Cher! U got boyfriend? No ah? Next time find one boyfriend those adventurous type then he always bring you go hiking and do all the fun stuff.. Shiok right!”

*resumes frantic psp-ing*

?!?!?!?!?! Absolutely random!

I think Jen would be the most most most important person to tell and preampt, and I hesitated for days and I just couldn’t say it.. and finally I did!

And like what Seeleng Mdm shared with me before, God somehow had prepared her heart. She said that she had actually sensed it even though I gave no clue to what was hatching in my mind. I think it’s a mother thing.. this 6th sense issue.

God is amazing because He knows I would be most affected by how Jen reacts, and He prepared her heart. She is the bestest wonderfulest ultimatest nicest colleague one can ever have!!!!!!!!!!! Haha.. she said she was actually afraid I would have gone earlier.

“I’m happy for you. Really. Mixed feelings but I’m definately happy for you! I’m going to cook for everyone at my house before you go so must set a date [I was like ('-_-) when she said that]” (sic)

“Don’t worry about me! God will give me the strength. The Lord will be with you all the way, He will guide you and bless you.”

She shared that she wasn’t afraid of the work, but more of that she wouldn’t have anyone to talk to anymore… but that’s not true! Hehe.. I’m sure God will provide right!! <3

She was so mama-ly and told me so many things but I just felt so touched that she was so supportive and encouraging.. and she made the whole thing so much easier. The whole conversation was like a dream and I couldn’t believe that the first step had taken place.

And one thing I noted.. when she asked me if I had prayed and if I was sure, for the very first time, I  didn’t say something like “erm, I think so..” or “yar, maybe!” but I really replied with full conviction.. YES!!!!!

Just been thinking about some of the happy and strong people that I know who shared with me about their struggles and discouragements. Everyone has their pains and deep dark secrets. It’s an honor to be able to get a glimpse of it, to see people for who they really are inside.  

What are we to do without strength and grace from our Lord?!

Mom: Tsk!!! She so big also you cannot see! You are just as blur as her you know!!

See these 2 weeks I’m home alone as my parents have gone to Holland together with my bro.

So I’ve been tasked to 100% take care of Tessi.

But obviously my crazy-about-animals 姑姑 ain’t trusting me with that task. The last time my parents left me home alone, I came home one night at around 8+ and my 姑姑 called me at around 6+ and found out that I wasn’t home yet so she was so horrified that later “Tessi hungry like hell!”

*cricket sound*

Sometimes when we feed Tess, she doesn’t eat till like 9+ 10pm??? Hahah SERIOUSLY.

Anyway, so this time, I noticed that my 姑姑 seems to be more chill in the calling me up part. Think she got it that I was quite >< about it. HAHA

BUT she sends her domestic helper to my house daily to feed Tessi with stingray. And she would fill Tessi’s bowl with dry dog food to the toppiest toppest brim. (they have my hse keys)

WE NEVER DO THAT!!!! TESSI WILL SERIOUSLY GET FAT!

Usually I just put in dry food like a quarter full?

So yesterday I was home earlier and I was around when Bibi came by to feed Tessi. She wanted to fill her bowl full and I was like,” Erm, think nevermind la! Like that enough liao. Later Tessi fat leh.”

And she had the :O look… you know, the.. “but-animals-are-supposed-to-be-fat” look!!! “Not-fat-not-cute” look!! The “are-you-making-your-dog-anorexic” look!!!!!!

And since I already made such a statement, she didn’t fill the bowl to the brim. Instead, she told Tessi, “See, not I don’t want to give you, but jie jie say cannot. Wait you fat.”

LIKE WHAT?! HAHAHAHA

If Tessi was a real kid there would seriously be some major tension going on around here!!!!! Really reminds me of the over-protective grandma being upset at her daughter-in-law for not taking care of her grandchild properly. HAHA

And, for the record, one of my aunty’s cats died of a HEART ATTACK.

SEE!!

*disclaimer: i AM really very appreciative of my 姑姑 and Bibi loving Tessi so much and keeping a lookout for her. Haha.. it’s just erm.. a little too much sometimes? Hahaha.. but still, it amuses me la. During Chinese New Year this year Tessi got an ang bao from my 姑姑 leh. HAHAHAHA mum used it to buy her doggie treats. LOL
